Non-Discrimination Policy
The Bill Long Foundation (BLF) does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religious beliefs or lack of one, gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, or socio-economic status in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, the awarding of grants, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment and experience for our membership, applicants, staff, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
The Bill Long Foundation is strongly committed to funding organizations that are inclusive. BLF requires every applicant for grants to submit its sponsoring organization’s board-approved anti-discrimination statement/policy. If these policies do not include every category identified in BLF’s anti-discrimination policy, we will discuss this with the organization. In addition, when one or more categories are not included, the Foundation will recommend the agency review its anti-discrimination policy to make it more inclusive and consistent with BLF’s grant application process.
The Bill Long Foundation advocates for equal opportunity employment. We will not discriminate and will take affirmative action measures to ensure against discrimination in employment, recruitment, advertisements for employment, compensation, termination, upgrading, promotions, and other conditions of employment against any employee or job applicant on the bases of race, color, religious beliefs or lack of one, gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, military status, or socio-economic status.
